Eclipse at the Grand Canyon

My wife Denise and I decided to spend the Sunday afternoon and evening at the Grand Canyon and witness the annular eclipse at the same time. We chose Shoshone Point as our vantage point, thinking we would have it to ourselves. Not so, people trickled in as the time neared 6:00. The eclipse started around 5:45 and continued until after 7:00. I posted five photos of it's progression during that time frame. We watched the rest of the sunset from a lookout point between Mather Point and the Kaibab Trail. A quick trip, four hours of driving for five hours spent at the Grand Canyon. It was worth it!

Ahhhh....beautiful pictures of the most amazing place in the world!! It made me really homesick to see these! You really have an eye to catch the most beautiful scenes of good old GC!

The eclipse pictures were truly amazing! I've never seen anything like them!

I don't know if it's possible but if you could somehow combine one of those amazing scenes of the Grand Canyon in this post with the eclipse happening in the background it would be sweet! It might turn into a hot item to sell from your website.
